Project idea:
The administrative building of the Isfahan School-Builders Charitable Association has been designed with an emphasis on simplicity, the authenticity of materials, and functional clarity. The combination of brick and stone in the façade not only references the region’s vernacular architecture but also creates material contrasts and controlled light-and-shadow effects that add a dynamic dimension to the building’s form. The consistent yet varied rhythm of the openings and perforated walls reflects careful attention to climate-responsive design and daylight control—so much so that the façade acts as a filter, establishing a smart interplay between interior and exterior spaces. The entrance, emphasized through symmetry and a clear geometric frame, conveys a sense of order, dignity, and welcome. In this project, form follows function, but this relationship is rooted in a familiar vocabulary of contemporary Iranian architecture that sustains a sense of identity and belonging. A building that speaks through its simplicity, yet carries architectural intention in every detail.
